I’ll be speaking at this international annual campus ministry event on Friday night for an afternoon session then doing a three-hour workshop on Saturday morning.
The content of my message will be focused around the theme for the entire conference as follows:
The world is enslaved, but no one sees it. Chains are everywhere, but no one notices. Link by link and yard by yard, iron shackles wrap themselves around the hearts of men and women who think they are free. Our colleges and universities, our friends, our families are strangled to death by sin but in ignorance call it freedom.
Knowledge cannot free us.
Success cannot free us.
Not even religion can free us.
Only Jesus can break our chains.
“He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.
Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind,”
– Psalm 107:14-15
